With this assembled 308 AR upper from Aero Precision, you can shortcut that entire process. This upper receiver includes everything you need except the bolt carrier group and charging handle. The receiver is forged 7075 T6 aluminum that's been machined to Aero's specifications. The M5E1 308 upper is designed to be compatible with common DPMS pattern 308 Winchester AR components, which are readily available. With an 18 inch 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium Steel barrel and a rifle length gas system, the Aero M5E1 308 upper balances recoil control and long range accuracy.
